Vacancy for a full-time paralegal
Wesley Gryk Solicitors LLP is a niche private immigration and nationality practice, rated Band 1 by both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. We are seeking to appoint a paralegal to support one of the partners at the firm with their active caseload involving a full range of immigration, nationality and asylum matters.
The contract is permanent (following a three month probation period); the salary is initially £21,948, rising to £24,848 after 6 months; the start date is negotiable; and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm.
We are looking for a graduate who is aware of, and interested in, the issues surrounding immigration and has a commitment to equality and human rights, and to promoting the rights of migrants. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines.
This position is very much one where you learn “on-the-job”. Many of the tasks are administrative but, subject to performance, you will be given increasingly complex tasks, more responsibilities, and more control over cases, although always under a solicitor’s supervision.
Our trainee solicitors have traditionally started as paralegals but there is no guarantee of progression (and the successful candidate may be an individual who does not wish to qualify as a solicitor).
How to apply
To apply, please return the following documents to firstname.lastname@example.org by the end of Wednesday 18 September 2019:

- Up-to-date CV
We welcome applications from all candidates who meet the person specification regardless of age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or race.
